For the second year in a row the Bendigo Volunteer Group is encouraging people to have a cuppa on Thursday morning and help raise funds for cancer prevention, research and support services.
The group is hosting Bendigo’s Biggest Morning Tea at Brewhouse Coffee Roasters, Edwards Greengrocer and Deli and Twenty2 from 9.30am to 11.30am.
One dollar from every hot drink sold at these venues will be donated to the Cancer Council.
Bendigo’s Biggest Morning Tea organiser Emily Byrne said the Bendigo Volunteer Group organised a number of fundraising activities throughout the year to raise money for Cancer Council services and Bendigo.
“We really wanted to organise a morning tea that the entire community could enjoy," she said.
"So it doesn’t matter if you’re by yourself or with friends, at work or at another morning tea, you can sit in or take away a drink and know you’re supporting a great cause.”
