Hazeldene's managing director John Hazeldene said the decision hindered the company's ability to effectively re-use its treated waste water.
"We do not have sufficient land without our own licensed discharge area to re-use our treated waste water and with winter approaching we have major concerns about what we can do to maintain operations," he said.
Hazeldene's employs 740 staff and 300 contractors.
More to come.
