The family won $1,105,263.16 from TattsLotto’s $21 Million Superdraw after they purchased a ticket online.
"I can’t explain how it feels," the winning father, whose does not want to be identified, said.
"But I can tell you I have never had a more enjoyable phone call."
The father said the family would use the money to upgrade their house, pay for their children's education and go on a long-awaited holiday.
"We have got young kids so we will be able to provide for their education now," he said.
"Our house is tiny so we will upgrade to a bigger property for the family as well.
"I haven’t had a holiday in about 20 years so that’s something we can finally afford to do now."
The winning ticket was just one of 11 other division one lotto winners in Bendigo since November 2008.
Bendigo winners have shared in $8.2 million over the five years.
The biggest winner was a ticket sold at Strath Lotto in February, 2013 - with the amount totaling $1,402,751.97.
Golden Square Newsagency has sold a winning ticket three times - in November, 2008, September, 2012, and October, 2013.
