BENDIGO was abuzz with an autumn Instameet at the weekend.
Instameet is the term used to describe a group of people gathering to take photos for social media app, Instagram.
Event organiser Desiree Crandell said the day was a success and she already had ideas for the next 'Instameet'.
"We had 26 people come all up," she said.
"We had some people come who did not have an Instagram account.
"We were able to set them up and answer all of their questions about it."
The group visited Rosalind Park, Old Bendigo Gaol theatre project, Bendigo Town Hall, Bendigo Art Gallery, The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, Bendigo Pottery and the Goldmines Hotel.
"The gaol was better than I had expected," Ms Crandell said.
Everyone was in their own little space just creating things.

"It's a part of history and it will never look that way again.
"The Vesak Festival of Light was spectacular, too.
"There were so many aspects.
"They incorporated many different cultures into the presentation."
Ms Crandell said the group was a perfect mix of confident and new photographers.
"They were all really impressed with the variety of the weekend," she said.
Ms Crandell said she had started thinking about the next meeting.
"We will try to make it as big as possible," she said.
"I'm working on something but it is a secret.
"There will be one this year and one next year."
With the support of Bendigo Tourism Ms Crandell is looking forward to the future of Bendigo Instameets.
"Everyone was in their own little space just creating things," she said.
