Catholic College Bendigo wins football final

CATHOLIC College Bendigo's girls' football team has qualified to represent Sandhurst division at this year's Loddon Mallee finals in Swan Hill.

The CCB team was in hot form at Friday's play-offs for the years 7-9 girls' teams at Flight Centre Park in Strathfieldsaye's Tannery Lane.

Students from six colleges showed a lot of skill as many marks were taken and goals kicked throughout the seven matches.

Unbeaten in their pool matches, CCB and the Flora Hill-based Bendigo South East College met in the grand final.

CCB won 7.4 (46) to 0.7 (7).

The Loddon Mallee finals are on August 6 in Swan Hill.
