POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a church in Daylesford on Tuesday night.

Several items were removed from the Central Springs Road church sometime during the evening.
The stolen items included a 17th century mirror, a 140-year-old lectern, a carved wooden eagle, a wooden 17th century timber screen with an image of Mary and a gem-encrusted brass and silver cross.
Police have released images of some of the stolen items.
It is not known how many people were involved in the burglary but it is believed there may have been several offenders due to the weight of the stolen items.
A small van may also have been used.
The value of the property stolen is more than $100,000.
