SOME of the best young bowlers are expected to take to the greens for the Bendigo East Bowling Club’s under-35 Classic Bowls tournament this weekend.

A field of 72 bowlers from across Victoria will compete, many of them have won Australian and state championships.
Bendigo bowler and 2013 Australian Open singles champion Aaron Wilson will play on the weekend.
He will team up with Andrew Brown.
Nathan Wilson, the reigning Australian open singles champion and Victorian state player will join forces with former state junior representative James Robertson.
Previous under-35 bowls winner Brad Holland will also take to the greens with local club member Dan Clough.
Former Bendigo East Bowling Club player Peter Loe will team-up with local bowler Liam Crapper.
Earlier this year Loe won the Australian Pairs championship held in Tasmania.
Ben Laughlin, a winner of two state titles, will play alongside Matthew Rennex.
Dane McKinnon, another previous winner, will team up with Victorian under-25 team member Liam Garlick-Adams.
Several Melbourne Premier League players are also set to try their hand in the tournament.
The event will begin at 9.30am on Saturday and will continue through on Sunday.
Organisers are encouraging spectators to attend.
