UPDATE 11.35AM:
A HELICOPTER and 12 SES members have joined 15 police in the search for missing Strathfieldsaye teenager Brandan Norton.
Bendigo police Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Morris said crews were combing the area around the property in Sullivans Road where the teenager went missing.
He said police were notified of the boy's disappearance about 11.30pm on Tuesday and conducted a search of the area.
He said additional resources were brought in to continue the search on Wednesday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Morris said Brandan had wandered from his home in the past.
"He has been known to do this in the past and known to walk quite some distance," he said.
"In the past he has made his way all the way into Bendigo - that’s quite a walk.
"There is nothing to indicate at this stage that this has happened on this occasion (but) he is capable of walking some distance.
"(Our) concern is to find him before he is gone too long."
Detective Senior Sergeant Morris said there had been no reported sightings of the teenager and people should contact the Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300 if they see Brandan.
"He does suffer from autism," he said.
"So we are hoping that anyone who comes across him and speaks to him would be able to recognise him and notify the police at Bendigo."
