Motorcyclist injured in Eaglehawk Road crash

UPDATE, 6.30pm:  Bendigo Highway Patrol’s Senior Constable Dale Andrews said a woman, aged in her 70s, failed to give way to a motorcyclist.

She was travelling north on Eaglehawk Road and attempted to turn right into Rule Street about 4.45pm Tuesday.

“She’s failed to see a motorcyclist travelling south on Eaglehawk Road and has collided with him,” Senior Constable Andrews said.

“She has received an infringement notice for failing to give way,” he said.

Senior Constable Andrews said the crash served as a reminder to drivers to watch out for motorcyclists, particularly when driving in the dark.

“The lady said she had the sun in her eyes so that might have been a contributing factor," he said.
