Trip organiser Brooke Warren said 15 students would live in the remote community of Lajamanu, which is about 890 kilometres from Darwin, for 10 days.
"It’s such an awesome, life-changing opportunity for the students," she said.
"Living and working in a remote community in the Northern Territory is quite challenging and confronting."
BTEC manager Kellie Baines said students would work closely with local pupils to demonstrate their trade skills.
She said this year students would construct a concrete path in Lajamanu.
