AS many as 80 people ran and walked for Team Kath in Sunday's Bendigo Mother's Day Classic.
The team raised the most for the event with a tally of $10,000.
Kath Wright, 30, is undergoing breast cancer treatment and was overwhelmed with her team's effort.
"I really appreciate it. It shows how much I’m loved and supported, it’s really good," she said.
"You’re never too young to get breast cancer, so young people should be aware of it and self-check," she said.
"It's not just older people who need to be mindful."
Ms Wright said she had coped well with her treatment.
"Physically I don't feel any different," she said.
"I've handled it really well."
Ms Wright said it was the team's second year participating in the event.
"Last year we raised $5000, so we've doubled it," she said.
"I want to help raise money for research so I can be cured."
