Epsom Neighbourhood Watch hopes to form a new group in the growing area of Huntly to prevent crime.
Leading Senior Constable and Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator Glenn Maillard said a Neighbourhood Watch group in Huntly would be valuable.
"They are building a lot more houses out there and with new areas, because lots of the houses are under construction, they can be quite vulnerable to people pinching stuff," he said.
"You have people moving in and out, there is lots of activity and it can often be a good place for casual thieves."
The meeting is at Huntly Primary School at 7.30pm.
