Office manager Clare Hutchison worked with staff to secure the history of the house by preserving the original furniture, clothing and art pieces of the original owners - the Leviny family.
"The house has a tradition of art and culture," she said.
"Five of the daughters who lived here were very active art and crafters.
"This exhibition preserves that history."
Curator Lauretta Zilles said the exhibition was the 'tip of the iceberg' of a bigger collection gathered by Jan Harris.
"When people see the display it will open their eyes to (the Leviny family's) creativity," Ms Zilles said.
A special talk on the exhibition will run as part of the Mother's Day afternoon tea this Sunday, May 11.
The exhibition will be open until July 6.
