Crucial weekend for Braves

A CRUCIAL weekend for the Bendigo  Braves men's and women's basketball teams tips off Saturday night on Nunawading's court.

Third on the south conference ladder, the Lady Braves take on the eight-placed Spectres.

Play at Nunawading starts at 5.45pm.

Bendigo has not played since a two-point loss on Ballarat's court on April 9.

Leading scorers for the Lady Braves in that contest were Kerryn Harrington 19, Chantella Perera 19, and Alex Bunton 17.

The Lady Braves are back on the Bendigo Stadium court for Sunday's match against Geelong.

Tip-off is at noon.

The Bendigo Braves face a huge challenge against Nunawading and Geelong, second and first in the east conference.

Fourth on the south conference ladder, Bendigo is on the rebound from an eight-point loss at home to Mount Gambier in the previous round.

The Braves and Spectres clash begins at 7.45pm.

Sunday's battle between Bendigo and Geelong tips off at 2pm at Bendigo Stadium.
