Updates: Gisborne v Golden Square

Quarter-time: Golden Square holds an 8 point lead at the first break of its Anzac Day clash with Gisborne at Gardiner Reserve.

Acting captain Jack Geary led the way for Square with two goals, while Phil Ryan and Josh Filo also kicked goals.

Gisborne's goals were kicked by Pat McKenna, Shaun Comerford and Shannon Greetham.

Anthony Belcher has mad an impact at centre half forward for Gisborne, while Josh Govan has had plenty of the ball.

Geary, Clayton Anderson, Ryan and Che Walls have impressed for Square.

Gisborne had the majority of play in the second term, but couldnt capitalise on the scoreboard.

The home side kicked 1.6 for the term and shold benin front a the main break.

Teenager Isaac Trickey has been outstanding for Gisborne, while Josh Govan and Ollie Messaoudi have won plenty of contested ball.

Two late goals to Square cut the margiun to 1 pointwith 1 minute to play.

 However Gisborne swept the ball forward and Sonogan marked on 50m. The siren sounded as he lined up for goal. His kick for goal floated through and Gisborne celebrated a 7 point win.
