Alice Fraser, 23, has completed a black and white pointillist piece in the courtyard of the local cafe.
Ms Fraser studied graphic design at LaTrobe University Bendigo, concentrating mainly on illustration.
"I was employed (at the cafe) previous to this and I have vivid memories of the chefs cutting up fresh Mediterranean vegetables," she said.
"We got chatting about how we wanted those vegies to look in the mural.
"We didn't decide to go with colour because it's quite an intimate area and we wanted it to be subtle.
"We wanted it to spark conversation but also be relevant to the setting.
"We hope that the line work speaks for itself without lots of colour.
"We got them printed at Barton Print on aluminium composite.
"It's been a very rewarding experience.
"This is the first artwork I have had displayed in a public setting.
"I'm hoping to show this off and get a bit more work."
