The exciting player is expected to play with the Panthers in its round nine Loddon Valley Football League clash against Newbridge.
Didak played in a total of 218 senior games with the Magpies including the 2010 premiership win over St Kilda.
Marong coach Corey Gregg said to have a player like Didak play for the team would be a good thing for the club both on and off the field.
“To have someone of his calibre play for Marong is exciting,” he said.
Didak is a former All-Australian and Collingwood best and fairest winner.
Gregg hoped the game would attract fans from across central Victoria.
“He (Didak) is an AFL premiership player so hopefully a lot of people can come through the gates and watch him play,” he said.
“He has been a Collingwood favourite for the past decade so it would be great if Magpie fans and other footy fans come out and see him.”
Gregg hoped Didak would teach his players about what is expected to play the game at the highest level.
“We are a relatively young side so any experiences he can share would be great,” he said.
Marong are currently sitting on top of the ladder after winning its first two matches.
Gregg said he was happy with how his team has begun the 2014 season.
“We have had a good start, hopefully we can continue our good form” he said.
“When he (Didak) plays for us, he will definitely make the team stronger.”
Didak was delisted by Collingwood at the end of last year.
