NEW Zealand's number one table tennis star Li Chunli will take on Australia's Lay Jian Fang in Monday afternoon's women's singles final at the Oceania Cup in Bendigo.
The finalists were in hot form in Sunday night's semi-finals at Bendigo Stadium.
Li faced Australia's Zhenhua Dederko in the semi-final.
The New Zealand champion won the opening two sets 11-6 12-10.
Dederko struck back for an 11-5 victory in the third set.
Li closed out the match 11-7 11-8.
Lay won the crucial rallies in her match with Tapper.
The scoreline was 11-7 11-9 11-9 11-8.
Li and Lay will play for gold from 4.50pm on Monday at Bendigo Stadium in Marong Road.
There were four countries represented in the quarter-finals of the women's singles in the Oceania Cup.
Li beat New Caledona's Cathy Gauthier 11-1 11-7 11-1 11-5. Dederko won 11-1 11-2 11-3 11-3 against Melveen Richmond from French Polynesia.
Tapper defeated New Caledonia's Ornella Bouteille 11-4 11-4 11-9 11-9.
Lay beat New Zealand's Sophie Shu 11-3 11-1 11-5 11-9.
Monday's finale to the titles includes the Pacific Cup finals and the Oceania Cup women's doubles.
