The Bendigo community raised a staggering $101,843.55 on Friday.
It was a record figure which left Uncle Bob's Club volunteers overwhelmed.
Well done, Bendigo.
It was a record figure which left Uncle Bob's Club volunteers overwhelmed.
There were some other huge totals around our region as well with Echuca raising more than $70,000, Castlemaine over $17,000 and Elmore around the $7000 mark.
Valuable funds for a wonderful institution such as the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
Sadly, our community was reminded of the value of this hospital on Friday with a young boy flown to Melbourne after a terrible accident that saw him hit by the family car on a private property at Axedale.
A heartwarming aspect of the Good Friday Hospital Appeal in Bendigo on Friday was not just the generosity of the community, but the great effort by all those volunteers who gave their time for the cause.
Driving to work how could you possibly not feel great about the day when you see the effort put in by the Budge family in Carpenter Street - all decked out in Easter Bunny costumes to collect donations.
Always great to start the day on such a positive note.
Well done to everyone who supported the Good Friday Hospital Appeal - job well done.
