The festival promises to be filled with country entertainment and will be at Rheloa Pioneers Park in Rheola, 60 kilometres west of Bendigo.
The day includes sheep-dog trials, a vintage tractor pull, woodchop events led by the Wimmera Axeman's Association, the Rheola Gift and events led by the Inglewood Pony Club.
There will also be skill events including an egg-throwing competition, kicking the football through the hoop, bowling at the wicket, sheaf tossing, nearest the pin golf and guess the weight of the sheep.
The Carnival Committee lays claim to an impressive record with the organisers believing that it is Victoria’s longest running official mixed sports meeting.
Money raised from the day goes to the Dunolly and Inglewood hospitals.
Last year the carnival raised close to $10,000.
The carnival starts with the sheep-dog trial from 8am.
Entry costs $6 for adults and free for under-14s.
