ABOUT 1000 people rocked out in Rosalind Park to popular bands British India and Calling All Cars on Thursday night.
Organisers were thrilled with the turnout for the free event.
The City of Greater Bendigo’s FReeZA youth events team Mic Up Productions hosted the concert.
Team member Maddy Walter, 17, said it was the most popular gig she had seen in the past three years.
"We had way more people than we expected, it's a great atmosphere," she said.
"It’s something to congratulate the youth of Bendigo on."
MOTORCYCLIST failed to stop for police yesterday while speeding, driving unlicensed, unregistered and under the influence of drugs.
Acting Sergeant Kevyn Hume-Cook of Bendigo's Highway Patrol said the 32-year-old man was riding south along the Calder Highway near Ravenswood when police caught him speeding.
"He failed to stop when we tried to pull him over and it was deemed too dangerous to pursue him,'' Acting Sergeant Hume-Cook said.
"Sometime later a report came in that a motorcyclist had come off his bike near Hokin’s Road.
"He was lucky to escape injury. Our police members decided not to pursue him because of risk to the rider and other motorists but unfortunately he’s continued with his dangerous riding."
