Such news paints a terrible picture of what might have just played out on a stretch of country highway.
Thankfully, 'head on' was actually a clip and both truck drivers will be with their families this Easter.
What a relief.
But Goornong policeman Leading Senior Constable Darren Scherger put this incident in clear perspective later in the afternoon - disaster was just a 'split second' away for both these truckies.
"With them both going 100 kilometres an hour, there would have been multiple fatalities," he said.

What a horrific thought.
This incident was far too close for comfort.
It's a clear warning that when it comes to the road, especially at times such as Easter, tragedy is always a 'split second' away.
One bad decision... a moment of distraction... a tiny lapse in concentration... an act of stupidity... tragedy will gladly accept an invitation from all.
Please be safe out there this Easter.
And a huge thank you to all the emergency services, police and Driver Reviver roadside stop volunteers who will be out in force this Easter working hard to keep our roads safe.
What a wonderful team.
