While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge give Victoria a wide berth on their Australian visit, the state appears to be doing the same to their chosen baby name of George.

Figures from Victoria's Births, Deaths and Marriages office show that George continues to languish as a name despite a short-lived jump in popularity in November and December last year.
In July, the month George was born, 10 boys were named George, with that figure staying steady or dropping until November, when the name enjoyed a popularity peak of 16 for the month. By January the numbers had dropped back to 12.
George is much more popular as a second name, with about 30 boys each month taking it as a second moniker. In October the name enjoyed a popularity fillip when 44 boys were given it as a second name.
Private research showed George rose in popularity from 71st to 60th in the most popular boy name tally.
William, meanwhile, has been the first or second-most popular boy's name since 2008, and has been in the top 10 since 1999.
Online parenting website Essential Baby's figures show that William tops the list of boys' names in Victoria, New South Wales, the ACT and Northern Territory.
Essential Baby managing editor Amber Robinson said the Duke and Duchess had chosen George because it was a family name.
"I think George is still considered a bit of an old-fashioned name," Ms Robinson said.
"My theory is that it will need more than just a year to make it stick with people and gain in popularity," she said.
Ms Robinson said that often parents-to-be had chosen a name before their baby was born, also limiting George's early influence.
She said grandparents' names were often used so names that were popular 80 years ago often had a resurgence.
She said television shows like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones were having an impact on name trends.
