THE Chris Kool-skipped rink from Gippsland kept its cool as it won Tuesday's final of the women's state triples at Bowls Victoria champions week on Bendigo East's greens.

Just one shot separated Kool and the Nicole Shortis-skipped rink from Fitzroy Victoria in the decider.

Kool teamed with Lena Rosati and Margret Brandhoj for an 18-17 victory.

The men's triples championship final ended in a 14-shot win for the Brett Foley-skipped trio from Altona.

The line-up of Ben Loughlin, Matthew Rennex and Brett Foley outbowled Northern Gateway's Craig McCarron, Wayne Hutson and skipper John McCarron to achieve a 23-9 victory.

McCarron advanced to the final after a 17-16 win against Moama's Greg Pettigrove, Glenn Dorward and skipper Barry Brennan.

Tuesday's action included the last 16 and then quarter-finals in the men's state pairs and women's champion of champion pairs.

Semis and finals of those events are on Wednesday's final day of the titles at the Lansell Street greens.
