Chloe was reported abducted from her southeast Queensland family home, where she had been sleeping in the lounge room, on Thursday morning, sparking a huge police hunt.
But 42 hours after she went missing, police found her about 1am on Saturday in the town’s showgrounds across the road from her home while "performing crime scene duties nearby".
Detectives are speaking to Chloe and her mother Tammy O’Donnell at Childers police station.
EARLIER: Inspector Kevin Gutteridge told the ABC Chloe was found safe and well at Childers Showgrounds late on Friday night.
"It's one of those dreams that came true," Inspector Gutteridge said.
"It's the greatest possible outcome for everyone, and for her to be reunited with her mum in hospital this morning was absolutely incredible."
He said where she was found appeared to be quite random and urged anyone with information to come forward.
The girl's disappearance from her Childers home on Thursday morning sparked a major police search.
