"Despite the wet weather, the competition was sensational," Grant said.

Grant said the cycling course was a great test.
"The cycling is on a 4km loop and includes a 1km climb.
"It's been a terrific day. We are thrilled with the performances of the competitors, and this course."
It's the first time SSA has run its national triathlon championships in Bendigo.
"The nationals are run in a different state on a rotational basis.
"This year's program is in Victoria. Bendigo has already hosted the cricket titles and soccer will be here year later this year.
"The support from the City of Greater Bendigo major events team is outstanding," Grant said.
"Triathlon Victoria recommended this course at Crusoe Reservoir. It's a great venue."
Thursday's racing was followed by the excursion to the Central Deborah Goldmine and tour on the Talking Tram through the heart of Bendigo.
"The excursion is an integral part of every School Sport Australia national championships."
