It was a disappointing week for the Cavaliers on the court.
Making a late push for the playoffs, we continued our momentum with a good win on the road against the Orlando Magic.
We controlled the game from start to finish, winning 119-98.
We defended well and this led to us having a great pace and ball movement on offence.
We then travelled to Atlanta for the biggest game of the season against a team we are battling for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks.
They started out shooting the ball really well and we could not manage to disrupt their rhythm.
After being down by as many as 22, we got it back to 12 points at half-time.
Unfortunately, we didn’t cut into the lead in the second half and went down 117-98.
The following night we played at home against the Charlotte Bobcats - the team Michael Jordan now owns.
Both teams had plenty to play for; the Bobcats were trying to clinch a spot in their second playoffs in 10 years, while the Cavaliers were trying to keep our playoff hopes alive.
There is something about being at a live sporting event that you cannot beat.
It was a defensive struggle with both teams not wanting to give up anything.
The score was only 40-33 at half time, with the Cavs down by seven.
We fought back in the second half and the game went into overtime.
It ended up being a thrilling finish, but unfortunately, we were on the wrong end of it.
The final score was 96-94 in favour of the Bobcats.
We had the day off on Sunday, so I got a chance to go to a Cleveland Indians baseball game.
The Indians went down to the Minnesota Twins 10-7, but it was a great day to watch some baseball with team-mates Spencer Hawes and Dion Waiters.
It was my second Indians game; their field is right near where we play.
Going to a baseball game is something that has definitely grown on me since first coming over to the U.S.A in 2009.
My last year of college I went to a number of sporting events with college team-mates.
Two of those were to watch the San Francisco Giants in a conference playoff game and one of their World Series victories.
The atmosphere was electric that night, sitting up in the bleachers.
An experience I definitely will not forget!
We also went to a soccer game to see the San Jose Earthquakes playoff match vs. the LA Galaxy.
A sport I watched for the first time last year was a San Jose Sharks Ice Hockey game.
It was really impressive to see the speed and physicality that they play with.
To finish off the year we also got to see a Golden State Warriors playoff game, which had another unbelievable atmosphere.

Have a great weekend!
