Bendigo policeman Sergeant Greg Gentry, who is overseeing the roll-out of the PSOs, said the officers would be at the station predominantly in the evenings, seven days a week.
He said the officers had the power to detain people on the premises but would have to call police to arrest them.
He said they would help police improve safety for the general community.
"They're there for crime and public order offences," he said.
"They're an additional resource to us here - another form of police who will support us.
"Everywhere that they've been deployed they've been very effective.
"They'll deter crime hopefully."
Sergeant Gentry said the station had been identified as a high-risk location by police and the police welcomed the additional assistance the PSOs would provide.
He said the officers would observe the station and its immediate surrounds.
The announcement comes after a spate of recent incidents at the station.
On Friday a man exposed himself to a woman who was waiting at the bus stop outside the station.
On March 21 an 18-year-old man was arrested there after allegedly threatening people with a knife and on January 13 a man was allegedly assaulted at the station.
Police are investigating the flashing incident.
