NEW South Wales shooter Matthew Pozzebon has claimed the Queen's Prize championship.

Pozzebon was chaired off and cheered by his competitors at the end of the final day of competition on Sunday afternoon.
Hosted by the Victorian Rifle Association the five-day state championships event was held at the Wellsford Rifle Range in Bendigo.
From West Wallsend, Pozzebon scored 399.38 to win the prestigious Queen's Prize aggregate title.

Ashburton's John Snowden was second with a score of 397.37.
Duncan Davies also from West Wallsend was third with a score of 396.47.
