Racing Victoria announced on Friday the two gallops meetings listed for Ballarat in May had been transferred.
The re-scheduling was done to ensure the newly resurfaced track at the Ballarat Turf Club has time to fully consolidate.
Ballarat's meeting on Sunday, May 11 will be run at Sandown’s Lakeside track.
Works as part of a $1.5 million resurfacing project at Ballarat started last November and included laying new turf, improving drainage and levelling the home straight.
The region's hot spell in late January and early February delayed the establishment of the turf.
Ballarat will return to racing on Sunday, June 1.
Eight races will be contested on the card of the transferred Ballarat meeting at Bendigo's Nursery of Champions in Heinz Street, White Hills on Thursday, May 22.
Nominations for the May 22 meeting close at noon on May 19. Acceptances close at 9am the next day.
