HICKS TRIAL: The timeline

HICKS pleads guilty to burglaries: June 20, 2012: A MAN who was questioned by police in relation to the death of an 11-month-old Long Gully baby appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates Court.

Harley Hicks, 19, pleaded guilty to 23 offences including aggravated burglary, burglary, attempted burglary and thefts from homes and cars in Long Gully, Bendigo and North Bendigo.

HICKS CHARGED WITH MURDER: On September 24, 2012, Harley Hicks appeared briefly in the Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with murder.

DELAY IN MURDER CASE: The case against Hicks was delayed because two “very significant reports” were missing from the prosecution brief - the pathologist report and DNA report.
