Triathletes star in legs at St Kilda

TWO of Bendigo Triathlon Club's best in the 2013-14 season, Fraser Walsh and Nathan Meade starred in Sunday's fifth leg of the Gatorade series at St Kilda.

Hundreds of competitors lined up for the 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run from Catani Gardens.

Walsh raced to the finish in 1 hour 28 seconds to be 19th overall and runner-up in the open division.

A great summer for Walsh included 13th placing at Mooloolaba and wins at Bridgewater and Echuca. 

Meade was 24th overall at St Kilda in a time of 1:01.29. He was runner-up in the 25-29 years class.

He won the Bendigo Tri Club's long-course championship.
