The club plays in the Seymour District Junior Football Netball League and is calling on young players from the region to give netball a go.
Heathcote Junior Football Netball Club secretary Kay Gwin said the club is providing an opportunity for young people to play in a competitive sport, have fun, make new friends and keep active.
She said the club had three different age groups, under-12, under-14 and under-16.
Gwin said at this stage the club may struggle to field an under-16 team due to lack of numbers.
“We are still taking enrolments for all teams and would love to have a few more under-14’s to come down,” she said.
“Our under-14’s will take to the court with assistance from some under-12 players.
“Hopefully we can find a few more players.”
Gwin said despite the competition filled with predominately female players, boys are welcome to join the under-12 and under-14 teams.
“Please contact us if you are interested, no experience is necessary as our fantastic coaches will teach you all the basics and beyond,” she said.
“We would love to hear from you if you are interested in becoming part of our great club.”
The season begins on April 6.
