SEDGWICK missed the finals for the fourth year in a row since playing in the second of back-to-back grand finals in 2010.
Made a solid finish to the season, but the Rams were slow out of the blocks and never threatened as a finals contender after winning just one of their first seven games.
They won three of their last five games, with their turnaround in form coinciding with the inclusion of opening batsman Damien Coppock, who in four innings made 217 runs at an average of 54.3.
Veteran Scott McKenzie again proved why it was a wise decision to go back on his retirement two years ago when he claimed 28 wickets to be the best of the Sedgwick bowlers.
