Ms Davies is a Make-A-Wish foundation volunteer.

"I volunteer for the branch here in Bendigo," she said.

"It's been a cause that I've always been passionate about, even before I became a volunteer.

"I found out about the Make-A-Wish foundation through a project at school, we had to give a talk about a not-for-profit charity organisation and I chose Make-A-Wish.

"I've been in awe of the work that they do since then."

Ms Davies said the Bendigo branch was in its infancy.

"I had applied to be a volunteer with the branch last year and it's just been something that has been building," she said.

Ms Davies is taking part in Make-A-Wish's newest fundraising campaign, Super Switch Off Sunday.

"For the month of March the Make-A-Wish foundation has launched a new campaign for people to switch off their mobile phones to raise funds for seriously ill children to grant their life-changing wishes," she said.

"You have friends and family who sponsor you and people who donate to the cause. This has been my main focus."
