The two teams faced each other in the last round of the competition at the weekend, with Bendigo FNL coming out on top.
Bendigo led at every change, maintaining its pressure throughout the game, winning 60-42.
Heathcote DFNL will need to regroup this week if it wants to win the grand final.
Loddon Valley FNL also played North Central.
It was a tight contest, with scores tied 22 apiece at half-time.
Loddon Valley made some changes at the main break, however, North Central managed to pull ahead.
North Central increased its lead during the final quarter, winning its first game of the season, 53-42.
In the under-17 competition, the semi-finals were played.
It was first versus fourth in the first final, with Bendigo FNL taking on Heathcote DFNL.
Heathcote DFNL won the first quarter, but then it was all Bendigo FNL.
Accurate shooting and full court pressure by the Bendigo girls ensured the ladder-leaders made it to the grand final. The final score was 59-39.
Echuca and District took on North Central in the other semi-final.
Echuca got off to a great start, holding a six-goal lead at quarter-time.
North Central closed the gap in the second half, however, it fell short in the final quarter.
Echuca and District won 45-37 and will meet the Bendigo FNL in Sunday's grand final at Flora Hill.
