The squad, which includes Harcourt-raised Shelley Chaplin, were beaten 50-64 by the US women in their opening match of the Lakeshore Cup tournament in Alabama on Tuesday.
The loss follows their 2-2 record at the four-nation Toronto Challenge, a test event for the world championships in the Canadian city in June.
