Holy Rosary Primary School is screening Free Birds as part of its Movies on the Green fundraiser. 

Principal Justin Lloyd said the event was put on by the parents group and was the school's biggest fundraiser for the year.

He said the money was used to buy classroom readers, art supplies and to help the school financially. 

"Hopefully the weather behaves itself and we have a great night," he said. 

The community is reminded to bring along a chair, rug or bean bag.

A barbecue dinner, fairy floss, popcorn and drinks will be available. 

The event starts at 6pm and finishes about 11.30pm, with the movie starting about 8.15pm. 

Tickets can be pre-purchased from the school office or by calling 5448 4280. 

Entry costs $5 per person or $20 per family of six. 

The event is in the school grounds.
