The new look team is set to face Brisbane in the opening round of the 2014 SEABL season with coach Ben Harvey celebrating a special milestone.
Harvey will reach 450 SEABL games as player and coach.
“This is my 20th or 21st season,” he said.
“I have played 328 games as a player and 122 as a coach.
“It has been a long journey with a lot of highs and lows but I have loved every minute of it.
“I am honoured to be a part of the Bendigo Braves club.”
Despite the milestone, Harvey is firmly focused on the opening game of the season.
He said there had been a big build up to the game and the team ready to take to the court.
Bendigo fans will get to see imports Zack Atkinson and Dustin Salisbery play as well as forward Michael Vigor.
“It is an important game for us to win," Harvey said.
"We have a few new guys and it is important for those guys to put on a show.
“We feel that all the new guys are fitting in well, we have set our short term goals. . . we are ready.”
Chris Hogan and Kevin Probert have also been announced as co-captains for this season.
Probert hopes he will be able to lead the team to a national championship.
“It is a huge honour to be captain, it is something that I have wanted to achieve since I started with the Braves,” he said.
Harvey said he was honoured to give Probert the role of co-captain.
“I think Kevin will rise to the position,” he said.
“Chris (Hogan) has also done a wonderful job, he is a great leader for our club.
“At the end of the day there is a lot of work to be done and I think these two guys will help us get over the line.”
The Bendigo Braves tip-off at 8pm.
Meanwhile, the new-look Bendigo Lady Braves start their season against Brisbane from 6pm tonight.
Bendigo Spirit guard Chantella Perera headlines three quality additions for the Jonathan Goodman-coached Lady Braves.
Canberra WNBL centre Alex Bunton and Townsville WNBL forward Rosie Fadlijevic add some strength and class to the Lady Braves' frontcourt.
Perera, her Spirit team-mate's Heather Oliver and Jane Chalmers and the experienced Lauren King will provide the perimeter shooting for the Lady Braves.
