The group, in conjunction with the Golden Vine Hotel, will host a comedy night this weekend to raise money for its new trail network in Spring Gully.
Four comedians from Melbourne - Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall, Kevin Lim, Sam Petersen and Dilruk Jayasinha - will entertain the crowd.
Event organiser and MTB Bendigo member Shaun Rosaia said it was great to bring more and varied comedy to Bendigo.
“We thank the Golden Vine for their support and encourage everyone to come along early and have a meal prior to the comedy starting,” he said.
MTB Bendigo president David Macauley said he was looking forward to it.
“All funds raised from the night will go to our trail development at Spring Gully, which when completed will be a great community asset for not just Bendigo but bike tourists from across the country,” he said.
“We are trying to get a location where the public can go when they want to ride their mountain bike. There will be sign posts, which takes away the risk of getting lost in the bush, and we can give them information on the style of the trail if it is easy or hard, and give them directions.”
The event is on Saturday from 8.30pm at the Golden Vine Hotel.
Tickets cost $10 at the door.
