AN 83-year-old woman has died nine days after a car crash at Harcourt North.
The woman was a passenger with her sister in the March 10 incident on the Fogarty’s Gap Road and Calder Highway intersection.
Her sister died at the scene, and the 83-year-old was flown to the Alfred Hospital.
Leading Senior Constable Peter Dyer said the woman had been improving in hospital.
“Her condition deteriorated yesterday, resulting in her death today,” he said.
Their car failed to give way in the incident and was hit by a Nissan utility.
Leading Senior Constable Dyer said there were no charges pending over the matter.
The incident came at the end of a horrific Labor Day weekend.
The death takes to the local toll from the weekend to seven.
