Five days after leading the Spirit to a second-straight WNBL championship, Griffin received the honour at Friday night's Bendigo Spirit trophy presentation at The Foundry.
The power forward also took out the club's leading scorer award.
Star guard Kristi Harrower added another two awards to her name.
Harrower was named best defensive player and she took out the most assists award.
Centre Gabe Richards was named most consistent and she took out the leading rebounder award.
Opals squad member Kelly Wilson won the most inspirational award.
Sara Blicavs won the player on the rise trophy and Heather Oliver won the coaches award.
Meanwhile, Griffin has been announced as an Australian ambassador for PEAK Sport, one of the world’s leading global active wear and footwear brands.
“Kelsey has led the Bendigo Spirit into back-to-back titles and won herself the status of MVP for the second time,'' Jason Stanton, National Business Manager of PEAK Sport Australia, said.
"Her court presence and contribution to Bendigo and Australian basketball is excellent. She is an outstanding ambassador for the WNBL and basketball.
“Kelsey is a role model for young athletes and we are excited for her to join the PEAK team”.
Griffin is the first Australian WNBL player to be initiated into "Team PEAK" and the first female official ambassador in Australia.
Moving forward with a multi-year deal, Griffin will continue to wear PEAK shoes both on and off the court.
“It’s great to get behind a brand so committed to the growth of basketball nation-wide,” Griffin said.
“I appreciate PEAK’s support of me and the chance to wear the new, advanced TP1s on court.
"It’s exciting to be part of PEAK as it grows in Australia and see kids taking on the brand.”
The endorsement deal will see Griffin join an exclusive list of basketball talent who wear PEAK shoes, including NBA champions Tony Parker and Shane Battier.
Griffin will feature as PEAK’s footy tipster in the Bendigo Advertiser this AFL season.
