Picnic with the Mad Hatter, presented by Food Fossickers with the support of the City of Greater Bendigo and Bendigo Tourism, aims to showcase local food, wine, beer and entertainment in one of Bendigo’s best picnic settings, the Botanic Gardens.
City of Greater Bendigo manager of tourism Kathryn Mackenzie said people can build their own picnic or eat their way around the local offerings from the region’s leading restaurants.
“Picnic goers will have an opportunity to sample regional delights from 25 local vendors and can build the perfect picnic spread with purchases made from the hawker style restaurant stalls,” she said.
The picnic will feature live music, jumping sacks, egg and spoon races, and a historic garden tour.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.foodfossickers.com.au or from the Bendigo Visitor Centre.
