More than 500 players will take part in the Community Bank-sponsored Rochester Netball Invitational on March 29. It includes a 17-and-under competition from 9am-2pm and a new day-night format for the Open division.
The Open section features 20 teams from six leagues, including reigning Loddon Valley premiers YCW and Heathcote champions Colbinabbin.
Rochester Football Netball Club tournament director Jac Rasmussen expects quality matches.
"To have teams of the calibre of Shepparton Bears and Kangaroo Flat, both grand finalists in the Goulburn Valley and Bendigo leagues in 2013, is a great reflection on our pre-season concept," she said.
Winners in each section will receive $500.
