UPDATE 10.30AM: Two people remain in a stable condition at Bendigo Health following a car and truck collision near Inglewood this morning.
One patient is expected to be released today.
UPDATE 9AM: A 22-year-old driver has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after his car collided with a truck near Inglewood this morning.
The incident occurred at about 8am today, where a Ford Territory is believed to have veered to the wrong side of the road.
The driver remains in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries; his 20-year-old passenger also sustained minor injuries.
The truck driver escaped injury.
The people travelling in the Ford Territory were returning to Melbourne after attending the Maitreya Festival.
The Calder Highway is blocked from Inglewood to Kurting as police clean up the scene.
EARLIER: POLICE and CFA crews are on scene following a collision on the Calder Highway near Inglewood.
Maryborough acting Sergeant Grant Thompson said a car and truck had collided at about 8am today.
"One person was trapped but we don't know the extent of the injuries yet," he said.
The incident has been listed as a rescue operation on the emergency broadcast website.
