Mitchell's new lease on life

PHYSIOTHERAPY sessions at Scope and specialist equipment has given Mitchell Morley a new lease on life.

The seven-year-old has cerebral palsy and was eligible to receive funding through the Federal Government's Better Start scheme.

Mother Nicole Morley said Scope had been brilliant and helped the family access services that would not have normally been available.

"It was government funding for Mitchell to access therapy and a small portion used to buy equipment," she said.

"He had problems with his balance and fine motor skills - he is an uncoordinated child.

"Scope were the only ones around Bendigo who could offer physiotherapy to use the funding."

Ms Morley said without the specialist equipment and therapy sessions Mitchell would have received limited help.

"We saw great improvements in balance and he was much better on his feet than he had been before he started accessing services at Scope," she said.
