YOUNG cyclist Belinda Bailey blitzed the field at the Victorian junior track cycling championships last Sunday, claiming a clean sweep of the under-11 girls events.
The nine-year-old from Bendigo won gold in the flying 200m, 500m time trial and 2000m scratch race at the Darebin International Sports Centre velodrome.
Her clubmate Ruby McLean, also nine, rode a strong time trial to secure the bronze medal.
Echuca-Moama's Hannah Thompson brought home a bronze in the flying 200m.
Other Bendigo and District Cycling Club riders to perform well included Stuart Bailey, Blake Agnoletto and Marcus Walker, who recorded good times in their events.
On Saturday, the Bailey siblings joined Walker and Jagan Woods at the Austral Wheelrace event.
Woods won the under-15 points race, 1000m handicap and scratch race and Belinda finished second in the under-11 B points race and third in the B scratch.
