Empowering Eaglehawk is now accepting submissions from groups to fund community projects, with grants ranging from $500 to $5000.
The program has invested more than $230,000 of funding into local community projects already, with round two grant applications open until August 31.
The scheme is a partnership between the Community of Eaglehawk, Bendigo Bank, Bendigo Community Telco and the City of Greater Bendigo to generate income to put towards community projects.
Projects include sports grounds, linear walking trails, transport for the elderly, individual projects for health and other community programs that aim to create a healthier and more active community.
Prospective applicants must discuss their proposed application prior to submission by contacting president Michael McKern on 0418 666 998 or Sarah Wainwright on 5446 1888.
