Other speakers will include Lifeline chief executive Jane Hayden and SPAN spokeswoman Alannah McGregor.
The event is designed to support people who have been touched by suicide and raise awareness within the community.
Ms McGregor is calling on central Victorian residents to mark the Mach 23 SPAN walk on their calendars.
"Everything is coming along very well," she said.
"We've booked the venue, the food, the musicians - it's all happening.
"The event will be on March 23 at the Dai Gum San Chinese precinct to kick off at 9.30am for a walk at 11.15am.
"If people don't feel they can walk they're quite welcome to stay at the venue until the walkers return.
"We'll watch the Black Dog Ride start off at 11am and then we'll have the start off of the walk as soon as the riders have gone."
The walk will travel through Bendigo's CBD.
"We'll start off at Dai Gum San, go through Rosalind Park, across Williamson Street, down to the mall, back up Mitchell Street, across Pall Mall and along McCrae Street back to Dai Gum San," she said.
