More than 1800 students from years 7 to 12 took to the water in the mainstream swimming or novelty events at the Bendigo Aquatic Centre.
There were fast times achieved across all age groups.
Participation was a major goal of the day and there was plenty of that in the novelty events which included the tug-of-war and more.
After points were tallied from the swim finals and novelty events, Champagnat led the way from MacKillop, Jaara, Vincent, McAuley and Backhaus.
Year level champions:
Year 7: Olivia Wright (McCauley house) and Mitchell Sherlock (Jaara).
Year 8: Kaitlyn Morgan (Jaara) and Jack Beale (Jaara).
Year 9: Isabella Symons (MacKillop) and Angus Verbeek (Vincent). Students at Catholic College Bendigo took part in the school's annual swimming carnival on Tuesday at the Bendigo Aquatic Centre.
